Military Standards are the foundations for establishing unified structures within the Department of Defense. These standards are developed by government and industry experts, each making knowledge-based contributions which combine to create a comprehensive standard. Military Standards are always detailed and, at times, rigid compounding the difficulty in comprehension and application. As a consequence, a great deal of effort may be applied to learning the standard rather than applying it – usually the principal goal of an exercise.

The AMCon process is designed to educate everyone involved on the complexity of applying Military Standards to the requirements of the project. Each step of our process is designed to address a different level of structure within a specification.
